Numbered book series consisting of monographs, excavation reports, proceedings volumes and doctoral theses. The South American archaeological record is highly diverse and reflects many different periods of exploration, colonization and effective occupation of numerous diverse ecosystems. Social complexity is also heterogeneous throughout the whole occupation history and regions. The series was conceived to integrate individual and collective works within a framework that exhibits the different perspectives used in this part of the world. The series also offers a space for South American researchers specifically to make their research available to an international academic audience.
