Daniel Salazar Lama

Daniel Salazar Lama has specialized since 2011 in iconography and Maya art history, particularly in sculptures integrated into Preclassic and Classic architecture. His research projects also explore new register technologies to support his analysis to produce architectural and virtual art reconstructions. In 2014 and 2019, he obtained a Master's and a Ph.D. degree in Mesoamerican Studies at UNAM, Mexico. He is currently a guest postdoctoral researcher at Archéologie des Amériques, ArchAm UMR8096, Paris. Daniel has participated in several archaeological and documentation projects at various sites in Mesoamerica and the Andean area, including Calakmul, Palenque, Tonina, and Tamtok, among others.
