About the Author

Nicholas J. Molinari, PhD, is an academic librarian and Adjunct Professor of Philosophy. His interests are classical numismatics, ancient philosophy, and ancient religion, and in particular the Greek deity Acheloios and his foreign counterparts. He is the co-author, with Dr. Nicola Sisci, of Potamikon: Sinews of Acheloios. A Comprehensive Catalog of the Bronze Coinage of the Man-Faced Bull, with Essays on Origin and Identity (Oxford: Archaeopress, 2016). He is currently preparing a new book that demonstrates the influence of Acheloios on Thales of Miletos, which was the subject of his doctoral dissertation.
