'Culture and Society at Lullingstone Roman Villa' paints a picture of what life might have been like for the inhabitants of the villa in the late third and fourth centuries AD. The villa today, in the Darent Valley, Kent, has an unusual amount of well-preserved evidence for its interior decoration and architecture. Seventy years on from the commencement of the excavation of the site, this study draws on the original reports but also embraces innovative approaches to examining the archaeological evidence and sheds new light on our understanding of the villa's use. For the first time, the site of Lullingstone Roman Villa is surveyed holistically, developing a plausible argument that the inhabitants used domestic space to assert their status and cultural identity.

This edited volume presents 31 papers read at the 4th International Archaeological Colloquium held in Crikvenica, Croatia, 8-9 November 2017. The papers deal with issues of pottery production in relation to landscape and communication features, ceramic building materials, as well as general studies on ceramic production, pottery and glass finds. Additionally, an invited contribution explores finds relating to clothing from the Roman pottery workshop at Crikvenica. Several papers are devoted to restoration and archaeological experimentation. Although the majority of papers tackle research conducted in the wider Adriatic area, several contributions deal with other provinces of the Roman world.

Ce livre propose l?édition de onze papyrus grecs documentaires de la collection Fouad. La majeure partie de la collection a été achetée en 1930 par le roi Fouad Ier d?Égypte et donnée à la Société royale égyptienne de papyrologie (connue plus tard sous le nom de Société Fouad Ier de papyrologie). La collection a été augmentée par d'autres achats ou dons au cours des années suivantes, et déposée à l?Ifao en 1961. L'introduction du volume donne un aperçu historique des acquisitions et des origines de la collection.0Dans ce volume, les papyrus édités sont un mélange de documents privés et publics (déclarations, pétitions, contrats, reçus, etc.) qui reflètent la vie quotidienne des différentes couches de la société et l?activité de l?administration provinciale locale dans l?Égypte romaine. Ces documents datent du début du ier siècle de notre ère jusqu?au début du iiie siècle, et proviennent des nomes Arsinoite, Oxyrhynchite et Lykopolite.
