Since the advent of the reign of Mohammed VI in 1999, Morocco has deployed a new continental foreign policy. The Kingdom aspires to be recognized as an emerging African power in its identity as well as in its space of projection. In order to meet these ambitions, the diplomatic apparatus is developing and modernizing, while a singular role identity is emerging around the notion of the "golden mean". This study presents, on an empirical level, the conditions of the elaboration and conduct of this Africa policy, and analyzes, on a theoretical level, the evolution of the Moroccan role identity in the international system.

This book examines the interrelationships between trauma, time, and narrative in the novel "The Journey" (1962) by the scholar, novelist, poet, and Holocaust survivor H. G. Adler. Drawing on Paul Ricœur's philosophy of time and studies of time in literature, Julia Menzel analyzes how Adler's novel depicts the experience of time as a dimension of Holocaust victims' trauma. She explores the aesthetic temporality of "The Journey" and presents a new interpretation of the literary text, which she conceives of as a modern "Zeit-Roman" (time novel). Die Studie untersucht die Wechselbeziehungen zwischen Trauma, Zeit und Erzählung in dem Roman "Eine Reise" (1962) des Wissenschaftlers, Schriftstellers, Dichters und Holocaust-Überlebenden H. G. Der Kulturverein "Deutsches Kulturwerk Europäischen Geistes" war zeitweise die zweitgrößte rechtsextreme Gruppierung der Bundesrepublik nach der NPD. Die 1950 vom ehemaligen NS-Kulturfunktionär Herbert Böhme gegründete Organisation diente mit dem Türmer-Verlag und ihren Zeitschriften als Plattform für frühere NS-Schriftsteller und völkische Autoren. In über 120 Ortsvereinen organisierte sie bis zur Auflösung 1996 Dichterlesungen, Vorträge und "Brauchtumsabende". Die Studie untersucht die Strukturen des Vereins, die Verbindungen zu rechten Gruppen und politischen Parteien sowie dessen Einflussversuche. Außerdem analysiert sie über 500 literarische Texte hinsichtlich des ideologischen Gehalts. Ein umfangreicher Anhang enthält u. a. biografische Informationen zu den wichtigsten Mitgliedern sowie Übersichten zu Akteuren, Publikationsorganen, Pflegstätten und Preisen. Die wichtigste Institution in diesem Bereich war die Hauptkommission zur Untersuchung der deutschen Verbrechen/NS-Verbrechen in Polen. Sie war dafür verantwortlich, Beweise für die Verbrechen zu sammeln und mit der Justiz der Bundesrepublik Deutschland zusammenzuarbeiten, insbesondere mit der Zentralen Stelle der Landesjustizverwaltungen zur Aufklärung nationalsozialistischer Verbrechen. Łukasz Jasiński zeigt, dass die Kommission zugleich als Institution des nicht demokratischen polnischen Staates politischem Druck von Seiten der kommunistischen Behörden ausgesetzt war und für Propagandakampagnen sowie zur Gestaltung des kollektiven Gedächtnisses zum Zweiten Weltkrieg in Polen herangezogen wurde. Darüber hinaus war die Geschichte der Hauptkommission auch von den unterschiedlichen Phasen in den deutsch-polnischen Beziehungen und der politischen Rivalität zwischen der BRD und der DDR geprägt.
