Ecritures digitales aims to demonstrate how digital writing contributes to the emergence of "a new relationship between the human body and the machine" as Jacques Derrida proposed when he considered the effects of new technologies. This reconfigured relationship, not surprisingly, is also influencing the digital future of the Jewish-Christian textual corpus referred to as "the Scriptures". The French title brings together this duality in one expression: Ecritures digitales . The English subtitle makes explicit the double meaning of the unique French word Ecritures: Digital writing, digital Scriptures . With a full French version and an abbreviated English version, this monograph analyzes the main challenges and opportunities for both writing and the Scriptures in the transition to digital culture. Ecritures digitales souhaite démontrer de quelle manière l'écriture digitale contribue à l'émergence d'une « nouvelle relation du corps humain aux machines », selon le diagnostique posé par Jacques Derrida à propos des effets des nouvelles technologies. Cette relation innovante influence également l'avenir numérique du corpus textuel judéo-chrétien désigné comme «les Ecritures». Le titre français rassemble en une seule expression ces deux thématiques: Ecritures digitales . Le sous-titre anglais rend sa double signification explicite: Digital writing, digital Scriptures . Avec une version française complète et une version anglaise brève, cette monographie analyse les principaux défis des métamorphoses digitales de l'écriture et des Ecritures.

Dans Le Coran par lui-même , Anne-Sylvie Boisliveau livre une analyse passionnante de la manière dont le Coran est l'architecte de sa propre image. Loin d'être un texte sans relief, celui-ci utilise un vocabulaire, des procédés rhétoriques et une argumentation soigneusement choisis pour orienter l'image qu'auditeurs ou lecteurs se feront de lui. Une analyse serrée du vocabulaire autoréférentiel montre que le Coran se décrit lui-même comme Ecriture « façon judéo-chrétienne » représentant un enjeu de communication. Mais surtout, par un triple discours - sur les actions divines, sur les Ecritures révélées antérieurement, telles la Bible, et sur la fonction prophétique -, le Coran se confère à lui-même le monopole de l'autorité issue de la révélation divine et pousse l'auditeur/lecteur à s'y soumettre. In Le Coran par lui-même , Anne-Sylvie Boisliveau provides a ground-breaking analysis of the way the Qurʾān is the architect of its own image. Far from being a flat text, the Qurʾān uses carefully chosen vocabulary, rhetorical tools and argumentation to direct the image that listeners or readers will then have in mind. A close analysis of its self-referential vocabulary shows that the Qurʾān describes itself as a Scripture "in a Judeo-Christian style" which communicative function is stressed. By a triple discourse (on divine actions, on previous Scriptures such as the Bible and on prophethood), the Qurʾān grants itself the monopoly of divine authority through revelation and pushes the listener/reader into a decisive submission. Reflections on the Early Christian History of Religion documents the results of two recent workshops on Martin Hengel's and Maria Schwemer's first volume of first volume of Geschichte des frühen Christentums ( Jesus und das Judentum [title of volume 1], Tübingen 2007) and Larry Hurtado's Lord Jesus Christ: Devotion to Jesus in Earliest Christianity (Grand Rapids 2003). The contributors, including Hengel himself, focus on problems and possibilities of studying and presenting Christian religion in Roman Antiquity. They discuss distinctive features of these two remarkable publications and some material aspects that illustrate the relationship between the historical study of early Christian religion, religious studies in general and New Testament studies in particular.
