Mapping society : settlement structure in later Bronze Age Ireland /
:
This study examines Middle-Late Bronze Age (c. 1750-600 BC) domestic settlement patterns in Ireland. The results reveal a distinct rise in the visibility, and a rapid adaption, of domestic architecture, which seems to have occurred earlier in Ireland than elsewhere in western and northern Europe.

Mapping Doggerland : the Mesolithic landscapes of the Southern North Sea /
:
12,000 years ago the area that now forms the southern North Sea was dry land: a vast plain populated by Mesolithic hunter-gatherers. By 5500 BC the entire area had disappeared beneath the sea as a consequence of rising sea levels. Until now, this unique landscape remained hidden from view and almost entirely unknown. The North Sea Palaeolandscape Project, funded by the Aggregates Levy Sustainability Fund, have mapped 23,000 km2 of this 'lost world' using seismic data collected for mineral exploration. 'Mapping Doggerland' demonstrates that the North Sea covers one of the largest and best preserved prehistoric landscapes in Europe.

Isis en occident : actes du IIème Colloque international sur les études isiaques, Lyon III 16-17 mai 2002 /
:
In this volume, 16 contributions by specialists of political and religious history of Antiquity give a precious general overview of the diffusion of Egyptian cults in the West. The first part gives a very precise survey of the diffusion of Egyptian cults in the western Roman world, while the second part of the book is devoted to special fields usually considered as subsidiary (numismatics, lychnology, gemmology), but in fact essential for a better understanding of the success of the Isiac cults in the Graeco-Roman world between 330 BC and 400 AD.

Political Engagement and Popular Print in Spanish Naples (1503-1707) /
:
What was published in Naples during the Spanish Vicerealm? How did books, pamphlets, broadsheets and newspapers contribute to the political awareness of the Neapolitan people? To what extent did the authorities engage with this politically-charged literary world? This book aims to answer these questions by discussing an untapped body of sources, in manuscript and printed form. What emerges is a vivid picture of a vibrant printing industry and a rich cultural landscape. Three moments of crisis of the seventeenth century - the eruption of Vesuvius, Masaniello's revolt and a major plague epidemic - are used as a test of the capability of the Spanish authorities in regards to political and propagandistic communication. Paulus und Barnabas in der Provinz Galatien : Studien zu Apostelgeschichte 13f. ; 16,6 ; 18,23 und den Adressaten des Galaterbriefes /
:
This study poses and answers two questions: 1. What is the basis in the tradition for the Acts 13 and 14 narrative about Paul's and Barnabas' mission on Cyprus and in southern Galatia? 2. Who are the addressees of the letter to the Galatians? Using the extant inscriptions and literary sources that relate to the provinces of Cyprus and Galatia in the early Roman Empire, the above questions are addressed to Acts and Galatians, and answered as follows: 1 Acts 13-14 contains so much local colour as to rule out the thesis that the so-called first missionary journey is fictional. 2. Paul's letter to the Galatians is addressed to the churches in southern Galatia - Antioch, Iconium, Lystra and Derbe. The hypothesis of a north-Galatian setting is shown to be improbable in the light of the geographical, archaeological and epigraphic evidence.

Life, death and rubbish disposal in Roman Norton, North Yorkshire : excavations at Brooklyn House 2015-16 /
:
This volume reports on excavations in advance of the development of a site in Norton-on-Derwent, North Yorkshire close to the line of the main Roman road running from the crossing point of the River Derwent near Malton Roman fort to York. This site provided much additional information on aspects of the poorly understood 'small town' of Delgovicia.
