Phénoménologie de l'action présente d'une manière très originale certains des différents aspects débattus aujourd'hui dans la philosophie de l'action. Grâce au renouvellement au sein de la philosophie de l'esprit concernant la connaissance en première personne, l'analyse de la relation entre le sujet et ses actions a connu un net regain d'intérêt ces dernières années. En mobilisant à la fois la tradition anglo-américaine et la tradition européenne, l'ouvrage se focalise davantage sur la question du moi et sur celle de l'agentivité ( agency ). La possibilité d'un dialogue entre ces deux traditions concernant la théorie de l'action en phénoménologie constitue l'originalité du volume. Phénoménologie de l'action presents in a very innovative way some of the different aspects debated today in the philosophy of action. Thanks to the renewal within the philosophy of mind concerning first-person knowledge, the analysis of the relation between the self and its actions has undergone a revival in recent years. Drawing from both the Anglo-American and the European tradition, this book focuses mainly on the relation between self and agency. The possibility of a dialogue between these two traditions concerning the theory of action from a phenomenological standpoint constitutes the originality of this volume.

The investigation of the Roman villa and its economic structures in the western provinces of the Roman Empire has clearly shown that rural settlement developed at different paces and intensities that largely depended on the specific region in which a villa landscape was intended and created. The progress of Romanisation was strongly linked to the existence of pre- Roman infrastructure in a given region. This existing infrastructure was at first acquired and successively intensified by the Romans. In its sum, the Roman villa economy was a complex and dynamic system that in its configuration vastly differed, according to the specific province. Still, the system essentially served clear functional purposes such as self-subsistence and, ideally, surplus production for the supply of the Roman military in newly conquered provinces.

Es kann nur eine Erfahrung aufgrund des lebendigen Erfahren-Könnens schlechthin geben. Die Differenzdiskurse, die heute legitimierend für Gesellschaft, Religion oder Philosophie in Anspruch genommen werden, stoßen sich an der prinzipiellen "Ungeteiltheit" solcher Erfahrungsmöglichkeit vor jeder besonderen Erkenntnis. Die radikal phänomenologische Wahrheit solcher Einheit erarbeiten wir daher mit Meister Eckhart als "Ab-Grund" des Absoluten sowie in Übereinstimmung mit der Lebensphänomenologie Michel Henrys als rein immanente "Praxis". Dieses philosophisch-mystische "Gespräch" mit Meister Eckhart versucht aber nicht nur, im anfangslosen Leben und der durch keine weitere Bestimmung verstandenen "Gottheit" eine strukturelle Übereinstimmung aufzuweisen, sondern daraus zugleich eine notwendige Kulturerneuerung zu gewinnen. Insofar as phenomenology continues to offer, by virtue of its self-understanding, the best technique provided for philosophical analysis of experience, phenomenology is obligated to respond to the category of mysticism. It is especially with Michel Henry and Meister Eckhart that we see phenomenology and mysticism coincide. They both put into play a radical reduction as a unity of reflection/praxis, which exposes to view how the self-appearance and the self-enactment of life come together in their respective self-affections or "trials of experience."

Der Kaiser war der Bevölkerung im Römischen Reich auf vielfältige Weise präsent, durch Statuen auf öffentlichen Plätzen, sein Bildnis auf Münzen oder seinen Namen in Inschriften. Dabei waren seine Untertanen nicht nur Rezipienten kaiserlicher Selbstdarstellung, sondern beteiligten sich auch aktiv an der Ausgestaltung der kaiserlichen Repräsentation mit ihren eigenen Vorstellungen und Erwartungen. Dieses Thema wird in Dialogangebote. Die Anrede des Kaisers jenseits der offiziellen Titulatur erstmals am Beispiel der sog. inoffiziellen Titulaturen auf breiter Quellenbasis untersucht. Dabei werden diese ehrenden Epitheta in ihrer diachronen Entwicklung von Augustus bis Severus Alexander (27 v. Chr. - 235 n. Chr.) und ihren thematischen, medialen, funktionalen und sozialen Kontexten analysiert. Die Untersuchung arbeitet die wichtige Rolle der Untertanen für die Herrscherrepräsentation heraus und bietet neue Einblicke in die Bedeutung dieses Phänomens für die reziproke Kommunikation zwischen Kaiser und Untertanen. The people of the Roman Empire encountered the emperor in many different ways, such as through statues in public places, his portrait on coins or his name in inscriptions. In these encounters, his subjects were not merely recipients of imperial self-expression, but also expressed their own ideas and expectations. Dialogangebote. Die Anrede des Kaisers jenseits der offiziellen Titulatur is the first study of this dynamic to make use of the rich Latin and Greek source material for the so-called unofficial titulature. These honorific epithets are analysed in their diachronic development from Augustus to Severus Alexander (27 BCE - 235 CE) and discussed in their thematic, media, functional and social contexts. The study fleshes out the important role played by the subjects in the representation of rulers and offers new insights into the importance of this phenomenon for the reciprocal communication between emperors and subjects.
