Cushman a gift of five hundred dollars, in memory of Louise Kossuth Green, "who loved Egypt and enriched the lives of many people by her successful teaching of ancient history in the Junior High School of Montclair, New Jersey. She visited Egypt in 1909, and her memories of her trip became living pictures to her pupils." It is pleasant to think that some of the Fellows appointed by the Center to work in Egypt may be able to carry on the torch lighted by a gifted teacher half a century ago. |
