| Summary: | In accordance with the By-laws of the American Research Center in Egypt, the Annual Meeting was convened on Tuesday, November 17, at 2:30 p.m., at the office of the Center in Cambridge, Massachusetts, with the President, William Stevenson Smith, in the chair and 151 members present in person or by proxy. This meeting was preceded by a Special Meeting held in New York City at the Institute of Fine Arts of New York University, which most generously offered hospitality to members and their guests. The latter meeting, attended by more than 150 persons, about one-third of whom were members, was marked by a program of papers and a brief business meeting at which the members present voted on the propositions later ratified at the Cambridge meeting of November 17. |
